Student Outreach Director Agreement
This document outlines some of the specific responsibilities and expectations of the Student Outreach Director position. If you are selected as a Student Outreach Director, this document will serve as an official agreement between you and Encountour LLC, henceforth referred to as “Encountour”. Should you have any questions about this agreement, please feel free to email or call and we will do our best to help.
Encountour relies heavily on you as a Student Outreach Director to raise awareness and sign-up volunteers on your campus. It is very important to us that you feel comfortable with every stage of the campus recruitment process so that you can be successful in your role. But we can only help where we know that help is needed, so healthy two-way communication is vital. We therefore require that you check-in with your assigned Encountour staff member at least once every week during the recruiting cycle. In addition, we also ask that you do your best to keep us informed with your comments, questions, or concerns as they arise.
Students on your campus will view you as a representative of Encountour; we therefore expect that you will behave in a manner befitting this role. As a Student Outreach Director, you must promote a positive image of Encountour and its programs, act in an honest and responsible manner, and exercise good judgment in all of your official duties.
If Encountour judges that you are not in compliance with any of the aforementioned expectations, then we reserve the right to dismiss you as a Student Outreach Director at any time. If you are dismissed, you will be entitled to compensation for all volunteers who have already paid in full, however, you will not be entitled to any additional compensation, or to compensation for participants who are in the middle of their recruitment process and have not yet paid in full, or to compensation for any future participants that sign-up from your campus.
As a Student Outreach Director, you are contracted to assist Encountour recruit trip participants. As a Student Outreach Director, you are not an employee of Encountour, and Encountour is not legally responsible for your decisions and/or actions.
Student Outreach Directors will receive commission according to the Encountour Student Outreach Director Incentive Program schedule, which can be found on the Encountour website. Student Outreach Directors are not eligible for early sign-up trip discounts. Student Outreach Directors will only receive credit for volunteer participants that have paid the entire cost of their trip. If a volunteer is refunded his or her trip payment for any reason, the Student Outreach Director will not receive credit for that volunteer. All money earned will be paid to a Student Outreach Director by check after the completion of the participant's trip.
If Encountour cancels one of your recruited participant’s trips for any reason other than a natural disaster or a U.S. State Department travel warning, then you will still receive full commission for your recruitment of that participant. If one of your participant’s trips is cancelled due to a natural disaster or a U.S. State Department travel warning, then no commission will be owing for your recruitment of that participant.
The laws of the state of Connecticut shall govern the validity of this agreement, the construction of its terms and the interpretation of the rights and duties of the parties hereto. Any controversies arising out of the terms of this agreement or its interpretation shall be settled in New Haven, Connecticut in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, and the judgment upon award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof.
