Guatemala is filled with rich native cultures, archaeological treasures, and exquisite natural beauty. These along with its complex political historyand economic and social challenges make it one of the most fascinating countries in Central America.

Although some improvements have been made to public services and infrastructure many more are needed. Insufficient health services, high rates of illiteracy and school drop-out, poor urban planning and a lack of clean water are contributing factors stunting the country’s development.
